This turkey sandwich is easy and delicious! All you need is some leftover turkey and fixings from the holidays for this turkey sandwich!

This particular Turkey Sandwich has been my favorite since I was a kid! You may call me weird, but don’t knock it until you try it!
Are you one of those people that eats one thing at a time, when you have a plate with different foods on it? Not me. Thansgiving dinner, I will put a little bit of several things on my fork and chew them, together. I love the way the flavors mingle!
My older son, who would always eat just about anything, did not like a big turkey dinner, as a little boy. So I suggested that he try putting multiple things on his fork. He was an appalled 5 year old! MOM!! You can’t do that!!! 😂
He loves turkey, and he loves most of the sides I usually make, but to this day, Thanksgiving dinner is not his favorite! I think there’s just a food overload for his brain to process!
So this sandwich may not be for Jake. He can have his with mayonnaise. Whatever!
Ingredient in this Turkey Sandwich
I, on the other hand, will be enjoying my, drumrolllllll please…. favorite turkey sandwich! Turkey, stuffing (or dressing) and cranberry sauce! A good quality white bread is fairly critical, as well! Preferably, homemade white bread!
The other ingredient, that is totally optional, and if I don’t have any left, I don’t stress about it, is warmed gravy! It is good, but if done in the correct order, this sandwich doesn’t require it, in my opinion!
You can decide to heat up the stuffing, or try it cold. I like it both ways. As far as the cranberry sauce goes, whole berry, or jellied? That is up to you, as well! I like those both too!
How Easy is it to Make this Turkey Sandwich?
- It is important that the sandwich is built in the proper order. If you put the cranberry sauce on the outside, near the bread, the bread will get all soggy and fall apart! So don’t do it!!
- You can choose to toast the bread, or not, which ever you prefer.
- Add sliced turkey to top of bread.
- Spread cranberry on top of turkey.
- Add stuffing to top of cranberry sauce. Top with second slice bread. Can cover all with warmed gravy, if desired.

I agree, this is a tasty way to use up some leftovers – it’s also great with brie in there too if you don’t have any stuffing (or use both!)
Binky
Yes, I love brie, but then I usually leave off the stuffing and grill it to melt the brie! Thanks Caroline!

Can you believe we didn’t even serve cranberry sauce at my Thanksgiving this year. Which is really too bad, because I personally LOVE some cranberry sauce on my turkey sandwich.
