    Spicy Southern Comeback Sauce

    Comeback sauce is a perfect dipping sauce for a variety of foods, shrimp, crab cakes, veges, fried pickles or French fries! It also makes a great dressing!

    Comeback sauce is a traditional Southern US dip that originated in Jackson MS, according to Spruce eats. Fun fact – The name is thought to have been derived from the traditional southern saying, “Y’all come back now, ya hear?

    What you need?

    • mayonnaise
    • ketchup
    • worcestershire sauce
    • honey
    • hot sauce
    • garlic
    • dry mustard
    • salt
    • pepper

    Uses for Comeback Sauce

    Comeback sauce is a very versatile condiment that can used for so many things. Use it as a topping for fish tacos, a dipping sauce for seafood or fish cakes, French fries, fried pickles, a condiment for sandwiches, or a dressing for salads. Serve it with raw veggies, chicken tenders, onion rings or veggie tots.

    How to make Comeback Sauce

    1. Add all ingredients to bowl.
    2. Mix well.

    It is best to make this sauce at least 24 hours ahead. Refrigerate until ready to use. Will last about a week in the refrigerator in air tight container!

    Use your favorite brand of hot sauce. Sriracha, Frank’s Red hot, Tabasco, or even your own, homemade!

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 Tbsp ketchup
    • 1 Tbsp bottled hot sauce
    • 1 tsp honey
    • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
    • 1/2 clove garlic large clove, grated

    • Mix all ingredients well in a small mixing bowl.

    Notes

    Sauce is best when made a day in advance, to let flavors marry.
    Comeback sauce will last at least 1 week, stored in an air tight container, in the refrigerator.
    Do not freeze.
