Ingredients

boxes
Jiffy brand cornbread mix
1
15 oz
can creamed corn
1/4
cup
buttermilk
3
tablespoon
honey
2
eggs
2
tablespoon
chopped chives
Instructions
Empty cornbread mix into large bowl.
2 boxes Jiffy brand cornbread mix
Add creamed corn, buttermilk, honey and eggs. Mix well.
1 15 oz can creamed corn,
1/4 cup buttermilk,
3 tablespoon honey,
2 eggs
Add snipped chives. Fold in.
2 tablespoon chopped chives
Spray 8"x 8" / 20x20 cm baking pan with non stick spray or butter it well. Pour in batter.
Bake at 400°F / 200°C for 25-30 minutes until top is golden brown and toothpick or cake tester poked in middle of bread comes out clean.
Notes
Variations on cornbread
Add 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Omit chives and add other fresh herbs like parsley
Add finely sliced green onion tops
Add finely chopped jalapeño peppers
Try adding crispy bacon or ham
Finely dice roasted red pepper.
