Air Fryer Beet Chips
These beet chips are vegan, whole 30, low carb and delicious! They are crispy, sweet and even healthy! Even the vege haters in the house will love these babies! Air frying makes them quick too!
Servings 40 chips
Cut beet slices to about 1/16" or 1.6mm thick.
Preheat air fryer to 350°F/ 177°C.
Spray with cooking spray or toss in a bit of olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Air fry for 3-4 minutes until edges start to shrivel and brown.
Flip with tongs.
Air additional 3-4 minutes, or to desired crispness.
Best if eaten fresh.
Can be stored in air tight container, at room temperature for a few days.
To recrisp, sir fry at 350°F /177°C for 3 minutes. Chips will not be crispy when you take them out of air fryer, but will crisp up within a few seconds.
Thinner chips may blow around a bit. Just readjust them when you flip. It will not affect the outcome of the chips!
General Air Fryer Tips
Air Fryers vary in wattage, and therefore in cooking times. This recipe is based using my Cuisinart TOA60. If your air fryer is different, carefully watch food the first time you make it, so that it doesn't burn.
Preheating your air fryer will give you the best, crispiest result. Check your brand of air fryer user manual to see if preheating is recommended.
Air fryers preheat in about 3-4 minutes. Use cooking spray or a fine mist sprayer to spray food prior to cooking, with the exception of baked goods.
Don't overcrowd foods so air can circulate all around. Flip foods over half way through cooking.
