Apple Cranberry Crisp is so easy! Only a few minutes to put it together. It’s delicious and gluten, dairy free and vegan.
This Apple Cranberry Crisp is so convenient for all of those holiday parties! Who has time, at this time of year to make fancy desserts?
I know I don’t! There is shopping, wrapping, Christmas trees to pick out and decorate.
Let alone all of the cookies that my Mom and I make! That list is very long. Here are a few. Ischeler’s Tortellettes, a family favorite, Santa Claus cut out cookies, Hilda brotchen and Jam filled.
I love to make crisps for that reason, they are quick and easy, fresh and flavorful!
What could be more seasonal than apples? Oh, well, perhaps cranberries! Have you noticed that the only time of year that you can find cranberries is around Thanksgiving and Christmas?
It’s a pity really. Cranberries are so delicious! They are loaded with vitamin C. They are great for immune health and “gut” health, the latest talking point to improve our overall health. Here is a great article from Good and Well, that expands on the thought.
This Apple Cranberry Crisp is good for you, really. It also has lots of fiber from the oats and nuts and some good fat from the coconut oil! See? There you go, health food for dessert, lol!

How many Calories in Apple Cranberry Crisp?
This Apple Cranberry Crsip is not low calorie, by any means. The coconut oil adds quite a few calories, as does the pie filling. If you use fresh apples with a bit of cornstarch, sugar and some apple pie spices, it will contain less calories. It does, however, have about 1/3 less calories than traditional apple pie, and is sure a whole lot easier!
Here is a nice casserole to cook the crisp in, for serving to guests! It’s beautiful!
That’s how easy Apple Cranberry Crisp actually is! Why not make a big batch for your next party!

I love crisp. I love every flavor and every fruit you can think of in my crisps, but I haven’t tried apple cranberry! Now I must. I have some frozen cranberries in the freezer so I can see what I’ll be making soon!

It’s an awesome flavor combination! The sweet apples and the tart cranberries compliment each other so well! Thanks Elaine!
Ellen
I love that you used almonds instead of pecans. The addition of coconut is nice too.
Binky
I thought about pecans! I think pecans would be nice too, but the almonds have a more neutral flavor, so the apples and cranberries really shine! Thanks Ellen!

APple crisp is one of my favorite fall and winter dessert. I make it like all the time for me and my family. I love the addition of coconut in the crisp. I will try this definitely. Sounds delicious.

I always make crisps or cobblers for my family for the holidays! It is so much easier than making pie and tastes just as yummy! Can’t wait to try this recipe.

Love the ease of using apple pie filling… I’ve always peeled, cored and sliced the apples — and then made the filling. Now I know there’s an easier way… It only took me how many years?
Binky
I was really short on time this holiday! It really saves at least 30 minute using the pie filling! Thanks, Lisa!
